Diana Karle, M.F.A., is a sound and performance artist specialised in experimental formats. Her work fuses field recordings and soundscapes from human, non-human, and geological sources with live electronics, expanding the concepts of acoustic ecology with electroacoustic composition. She integrates the technology used as an active element in her projects, revisiting and reshaping concepts through software and technical processes, questioning modern dichotomies of nature, humans, and technology. Within her artistic practice, she’s invested in exploring new ways of interacting with and utilising public spaces. Additionally, she has also been active for years as an organiser and curator of cultural events of various kinds.
She just completed her master’s degree at the Bauhaus-University Weimar, focusing on acoustic ecologies and sound studies.
